Travel with me to Banff and the Canadian Rockies next June!

EEEK! Well, here goes nothing! I'm hosting a group trip next June 2026 in the Canadian Rockies!

Ever since I first visited Canada in 2017, it has been at the very top of my adventure list. Glaciers. Stunning Lakes. Jagged Peaks. It's all incredible, and I want to help you see it, too. But not just see it. Experience it. Touch a glacier. Get soaked while rafting. Immerse yourself in the greatest mountain range. See bucketlist locations.

So, who is this trip for?

Anyone! But it's probably the most geared towards people who want to hike and travel, but might not have a group to go with or may not enjoy planning. Luckily, this trip covers all the bases! Everything is planned, and meals are covered. (Flights to and from Calgary ARE NOT.)

Let's dive into all the trip details:

Who is managing this trip? TrovaTrip. They arrange for a professional guide to set everything up. I'm considered the 'Host.'

When does this trip go live? August 3rd, 12pm ET/10am MT/9am PT

Who is this for? Any age over 18. Any Gender. Groups or Solo Travelers. All are welcome! Those who enjoy fun times and beautiful places.

Cost: Early Bird Pricing is $2,350, Regular Pricing is $2,550 (you can pay in segments, so you don't have to do a lump sum if you do not wish to)

When do you have to book? The sooner the better. The first 14 people to sign up get early bird pricing. But the other caveat is that if I don't get two sign-ups within two weeks, the trip doesn't happen. So, if you're interested, sign up ASAP!

Dates: Jun 15, 2026 - June 21, 2026 (Day 1 is a travel/pickup day, and so is Day 7. So, five full days of adventure.)

Activities: Moderate to Hard Hiking, Glacier Walk, Camping, Rafting, Visit downtown Banff, Cable Car Ride

This is the Sentinel Pass and Larch Valley hike. | This is Incline Summit in Yoho | This is similar to the Glacier Walk

Will you teach us photography? While this is not a specific photography trip, I'm more than happy to work wth anyone on their photo skills both on the trail and at camp.

Why this is a rad trip:

  • We'll be camping all but one night at Lake Louise Campground. I've been there for two nights, and it's fantastic and in a PHENOMENAL location inside Banff National Park. This means we won't be wasting time driving all over the region. There are showers and bathrooms. We're not roughing it. (But camping does help save probably $1,200 each.)
  • We get to spend days hiking in some of the most pristine locations in North America. But we also get to do some private tours. There's a glacier walk on the Icefields Parkway as well as white water rafting. Both should be EPIC!
  • We also get to hike up to Larch Valley and Sentinel Pass (snow dependent), and this offers one of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen in Banff.
  • Overall, you'll get a fantastic introduction to Banff and the Canadian Rockies.
  • I know it's not cheap, but Banff has become quite expensive, and the fact that we're going to get camping reservations, which can be almost impossible to get, is INCREDIBLE! If you've had Banff on your bucket list, I can't think of a better time to come!

Want to hang out with these views?!

Feel free to ask me any questions, and I hope to see you on the trip.

Remember, the first 14 slots get early bird pricing. After that, you'll pay an extra $200.

PS: Don't think you can make this trip, but are interested in joining a future group trip elsewhere? Click here to let me know where you want to go, what months you're free, and your budget. This is just a survey.

2025 was an incredible travel year, but for some reason, it also felt underwhelming to the core activities I truly love: Backpacking and hiking. A move from Seattle to Denver occupied a decent chunk of our summer, and then I unfortunately got hurt on the Fjallraven Annual Classic, which wiped out August. This ended up being the lowest mileage hiking year of recent memory, even including the years I had cancer, which is kinda crazy. Still, the year had so many highs, from exploring our new...

Happy holidays to each and every one of you! I'll keep this very short, as this is a longer newsletter. We're sticking around Denver for Christmas. When we moved here, I somewhat figured it would be a white Christmas... or at least some white stuff on the ground. But nope! It's highs in the mid-50s to 60s, and we're getting our tan on! Lastly, I want to say thanks for reading and supporting this newsletter. All I want is to help you guys get outside and enjoy time in nature. I hope I've...

Happy feast week, everyone! Jaimie and I are traveling to the Bay Area to see her family, and it'll be nice to warm up some as Denver's temps are DROPPING! I'm not sure how November flew by so fast, but here we are. I hope you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. Thank you for being here and supporting this newsletter. I truly appreciate it. And if there is anything you want me to cover, just ask! First things first. I think you all enjoy traveling and probably saving...
